Through this service SYSCO makes a review of the customer’s Oracle licenses and installed software, in order to ensure that the set-up is in compliance with Oracle’s license rules that apply at any given time. We represent the customer in license questions toward Oracle Nordic, renew agreements when required, and make assessments together with the customer, in order to obtain the most optimized Oracle environment today and choice of agreements going forward.

One thing is finding the right products. It’s not quite as easy finding a supplier with the right competence, one who is good at follow-up, and who may become a proactive partner. These qualities were important to Hafslund Nett when they chose to sign an Oracle license administration agreement with SYSCO.

– SYSCO has a long-standing time of reference with us. They know our company and our requirements. This helps ensure that Hafslund has an Oracle platform that is correctly licensed, and one that is technically optimized for the future, he says.

The agreement, spanning three years, involves annual reviews of Hafslund’s Oracle environment, in addition to quarterly meetings. At these meetings, we discuss, amongst others, new projects that may entail technical and commercial cost. «What If Scenarios» are used as basis and we factor in «Best Case» and «Worst Case» scenarios.

– In connection with license renewal we have a number of planning meetings, where plans for phase-out and redistribution, among other things, are discussed. What is more, SYSCO takes part in all dialogue we have with Oracle, Braadland reports.
